![]() ![]() We’ve been analyzing smart TV data collection in our labs since 2018, and we incorporate our findings into all of our TV ratings each year. They are both great options for my chunky baby and lean toddler.Consumer Reports started reporting on this data collection back in 2015. I would recommend you purchase a print you like when deciding between these two diapers and see how they work for you and your family. When little miss was a newborn, I really enjoyed the tiny fit of the Too Smart Cover and had brought that diaper into our regular rotation. I tend to use the Flip more because the stretchy tabs are just easier to use. Honestly both covers are a fan favourite. Both diapers also feature a front and back flaps for tucking inserts and containing the mess. Smart Bottoms is a tougher thicker PUL compared to the softer thinner Flip PUL. Insides: The material used by Smart Bottoms and Flip is very different in texture and feeling. Fun feature: Smart Bottoms features male snaps for their waist snaps because it allows for a wing lift without droop. Smart Bottoms offers a smaller diaper with a smaller rise setting. Smart Bottoms Too Smart Cover has four rise settings. Sizing & Rise Snaps: The Flip cloth diaper cover features a traditional three rise setting. The leg elastics on the Flip are definitely gentler and softer whereas the Smart Bottoms Too Smart elastics feel tight and tough. Flip meets this cloth diaper cover request by debuting a wider diaper. This accounts for additional room for absorbency. Leg Elastics & Gussetts: Smart Bottoms Too Smart Cover features a leg gusset. Smart Bottoms (10-35lbs) and Flip (8-35lbs) In my opinion, none of these size differences account for much of anything. Flip also has a longer waist panel however, when waist snaps are lined up there is a marginal difference in waist snap sizing. Flip is wider (but that doesn’t make it any less trim thru the crotch). Size & Shape: The Smart Bottoms Too Smart Cover is approximately the same size and shape as the Flip. Smart Bottoms Too Smart Cover Compared to a Flip Diaper Cover However, it is my impression they are making strides with this and I have yet to need to replace the elastics on my Flips. The only frustration I hear about Flips is the Cotton Babies disappointing elastic quality. Paired with a daytime flip organic insert, the Flip is a super trim cloth diaper cover. I love the patent Cotton Babies stretchy tabs, and the easy to wrap shape. They are easy to use, easy to love and so much more. These versatile covers made by Cottonbabies are well loved and appreciated within the cloth diaper community. ![]() If you haven’t heard of Flip and you cloth diaper, chances are you live under a rock. I love using my Smart Bottoms Too Smart Cover with a Smart Bottoms Prefolds. ![]() Probably because Mary’s Garden a Babyzagogo exclusive is stunning. I am more inclined to grab a Smart Bottoms Too Smart Cover before a Flip. I really like it, and despite my earlier statement of being too small for my toddler, it actually fits both kids really well. This feeling is rather unfortunate because the Smart Bottoms Too Smart Cover is kind of awesome. Online it’s seldom chatted about and the biggest complaint I’ve read is the leaving deep indentations in the skin. The Smart Bottoms Too Smart Cover gets a bad reputation in the cloth diapering community. If I have the diapers, a little spare time, I’ll put together a comparison. We’ll check out the differences and similarities below as well as a fit comparison on my babies.Ĭurious about how diapers compare?
